I'm back with a live computer at home at last.

Hello all and a Happy New Year.....

And so to the ride

ride to London
ride to Dover
ferry to France
ride to Rotterdam
ferry to Hull
ride or you might fancy the train back to London

As you can see kept it fairly easy going for the first ride...

So whos in???

Fingers crossed for snow and ice

Might keep this one for summer...

I don't know about further. I'm not really sure how I'll get on with a 160 miler and as you know I do little group riding so I never know how these things work out. I am interested in Italy though .

It was a more of a "micky take" but for summer it has some potential and might happen?

The North Sea Circular??

Other ideas / hairbrain plans

Go see the Tour? northern France cobbles or the Tourmalet

Set off at first light and ride, and ride, and ride, and ride - London out towards the south west until you can ride no more. Hole up somewhere before catching the first train back to London in the morning

Another planned ride which I never did for medical reasons:sad:
Train to Newcastle, ride over the border into Scotland to finish in Edinburgh, train home. Easily doable in a day, from London as well, and quite cheap if booked in advance.

Plan in winter for big rides in summer.

Warning - some rides may contain hills, especially oop north, please advise early if you have an hill allergy...;)

I obviously must be missing the holidays already, as I've just spent my lunchtime actually considering this.

As long as it's in the summer (if we get one) and I can get a bike with panniers, it could be a nice summer break.

It could even be combined with a Whitstable FNRttC (end of May/August), straight onto Dover for an early ferry.

I've even looked up ferry prices  £16 Dover to Calais. £108 Rotterdam - Hull B). I prefer the Harwich option at £33.

I better get back to work before I put anymore thought into this.
