I was brought up eating larva bread and hating it.
Went foraging cockles, hooking conger eel and setting deadlines before I was 10.
No electricity, no running water, chemical toilet and a mile to walk to the school bus.
Scholarship meant I left before I was interested in beer.
Then it was Hancock's Barleybrite and Felinfoel. We worked out that there was better alcohol value because of the pricing point.
