Argh - first ride after I finished my build

Got 100 yards up the road to hear the sound of air under pressure escaping very quickly!

Turns out a 1" nail went all the way though the tyre and both sides of the inner tube. How annoying, I took the bike back home and repaired the double puncher and went back out. Got a bit further and the tyre went flat again so I think its ruined a new tube unfortunately.

How bad is my luck?!

I'll be off to get a new tube and some tyres with puncture protection later I think.
