I hav eonly seen Slade once..it was on thjeir 'comeback' gig at Castle Donningtons Monsters of Rock festival. They were brilliant...it was raining hard and cold...we were down the front in the mud and miffed at the sound so far....then about a hundred bog rolls were launched from behind the amp wall and we heard...."Baby babay baby" screamed across th erace track...it was a superb gig.

Slade were awesome entertainers live. very underrated, Slade in Flame is a good movie with great songs.

Mott the Hoople are also one of my favourites too, should have been bigger.

Elmer Fudd

Miserable Old Bar Steward
Bowie put Mott in the charts with All the young dudes, I know they were a pretty big album band but I've never listened to any .
For me:-
Marc Bolan (& T. Rex)
Sweet
Bowie

The Sweet get my vote>
Got a live album from the 70's and the vocals are great!

Saw Andy Scott's Sweet a coupla years ago and was AMAZED at how good they were.
Harmony vocals to die for.

A bit slow with this:

Slade - my first favourite band
T-Rex - a little bit
Sweet - a little bit, as well
Gary Glitter (unfortunately)
Mott the Hoople
