For those of you looking to insure your bikes against theft, I haven't had any issues claiming through Bikmo. They have just settled my claim in full (less a 10% excess), no questions asked. Their underwriters, Hiscox, get a pretty bad rap in online reviews, but I had a good experience. I had a phone call from one of their claims reps that lasted about 5 minutes. No arguing or dancing around anything- a straight up "We received your claim from Bikmo. We're offering you a cash settlement of £x amount. This is the bank account we have on file, would you like us to pay it into that account? It will take 3-5 business days to process. We'll send an email confirming all of this. Have a lovely day."
And they are one of the only insurers who do not require your bike to be locked to anything in a private shed (although I have now fitted a shed shackle to secure the bikes in the shed).
