Being a bit of a killjoy, but will the organisers allow this ?

(of course I've done it, I've passed-on my number to another member of my running club when injured myself and I've run under someone else's number in the opposite circumstance, but it's definitely frowned on, for the perfectly good reasons above.
And to make it worse, you're actually trying to sell it.
I'm not exaggerating, but if you did this with a London Marathon number and the organisers found out, they would ban you from ever entering again...)
