I heard a DJ on Radio 6 (I think it might have been Marc Riley) saying that one of his most wished for musical moments would be Lou Reed doing a medley of Metal Machine Music with the Unthanks on Later With Jools Holland) .

Stars On 45 wouldn't have been half bad either!

Well I've been able to listen to the Reed/Metallica now (wouldn't work in the office). I've also just played some Metal Machine Music afterwards and after hearing that again the Reed/Metallica effort is fantastic*.

*by comparison.

MMM clip if you've never had you lug-holes assaulted by this tripe.

Wouldn't hold out much hope Stu...

And still LU pushes his drums too far forward in the mix... bloody egomaniac arse

No, I'm not. Side projects & collaborations generally fall into two camps for me: On the one hand the likes of Dave Grohl's Probot, pretty much everything Al Jourgensen and Trent Reznor have ever recorded, etc (bloody marvellous), and the likes of, er, this....would have been so much better without Lou on it!!
