Have an old helmet from days of riding with my kids. Recently noticed the felt cover on the pads inside have come off, so I'll sometimes have nice big black marks on my forehead where the internal padding has rubbed off. These look like they're just velcroed on - the helmet has little dots with hooks on.

Can you get replacements? Or will they be helmet specific and I should probably start looking at a new helmet anyway?

How old is the helmet?
Most manufacturers give their helmets a lifespan, 5 years or so

Just get a new one if it’s older than tha

If you aren’t wanting to replace, can’t you just get some Velcro pads from eBay and cut to size?

Speaking as a helmet manufacturer (not bike helmets specifically) most helmets have a suggested lifespan of about 5 years (8 years in some cases) so I'd recommend spending £15 on a new one (decathlon or similar) rather than spending £5 on spares.

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
I've got some Giro ones for sale on eBay - so "yes"

Popped in to cycle republic at lunch and bought a new one. Old one was easily 10 years old so better safe than sorry
