Hey guys
Hope you're are all keeping well.
So can you charge your car battery in situ rather than disconnecting it. Suppose it may depend on the vehicle an possibly how modern it is.
Never done this b4 but looking on youtube quite few people say it is possible tho some say no don't do it, it will cause all kinda electrical
gremlins, problems. It may also depend on the type of bat charger you use. I have both a pretty ancient bradex 8amp charger and a
(relatively smart) charger bought from Lidl (ULGD 5.0 C1) which has been v useful maintaining my baby 12v scooter battery. This is the one
I plan to use with bat in situ.
Why not disconnect your battery? I envisage you asking, well will it effect my car radio and trigger a code reset and maybe other things when
reconnecting? The cd/radio looks original factory fit. Only just bought the car know very little about it tbh no hand book or anything, it's an 11 plate
renault modus dynamique 1.2 petrol, battery does seems fine atm but not really going that far in it to charge it atm. Thanks...
