Chainguard

A friend of mine just new to cycling has it in his head he needs a chainguard. The type that fits to the outer chainring. His chainset is an Acera 48 tooth of a type not generally imported into the UK except as equipment on complete bikes.

Could anyone help him out?

I already asked him "why?" His best answer was that his wfe's bike has one!
