IMO yes, for a while longer, until many of the crippling bugs are sorted. I know most/all Garmin units usually release with a load of bugs present (the 500 had plenty of its own when 1st released), but the 810 is something else. Unless you like paying £350-480 (depending on package) for a half finished product.
The unit itself is nice and slick, the new UI is great, but there are just so many bugs right now, the unit is barely usable. There has already been 1 firmware update, I am hoping for another very soon because my patience is running low, the power measurement issue is unforgivable.
