Hi,
For the 2nd time in two months, I lost a spoke on my rear wheel. I think it might be time to buy a new one (or the pair) as these wheels are about 4 years old and I struggled last time to get a replacement spoke. I'll have to take it to a shop to swap the cassette..etc over as I don't have the tools at home.
My current wheelset (now discontinued) is the Shimano RX05 for disc brakes. I've looked at two options;
The Shimano RX31 which looks like a updated version of the RX05 (£180)
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/shimano-rx31-road-disc-brake-wheelset-centrelock/
and these Mavic Ksyrium (£365)
https://www.evanscycles.com/mavic-ksyrium-centre-lock-700c-road-clincher-wts-wheelset-2017-EV287164
The price difference is quite a lot but I can't see any difference. The resellers don't give the weight but the Mavic site says theirs weight 1890 grams.
Does anyone think there's anything to choose from here apart from price?
Thanks,
Dermot
