Any news also on whether Sky ride is coming back to Leicester this year? THere is nothing on their website yet, I was hoping you might have some insider info.

No we just haven't decided what to do, yet.

I doubt Skyride will be back in Leicester again, or anywhere else outside London. Sky haven't even contacted the councils yet and said in Decemebr that they would only pay for promotion and not event delivery.

Shame, several people I work with didn't really understand what it was about last year, but after seeing the coverage/write ups they've been asking me when it's happening. Given that I was the only one talking about it before the event I think they got the impression it was for lycra louts like me, and not the family job it really was.

OK, the plan for the 3rd is to hire a village hall near Loughborough so that rides can come out from Derby, Leicester and Nottingham. We'll be putting some nosh on and some displays up, too.

We might also try to recreate a cycling club photo from 1896!
