Well done! Still looks nice and does not need too much doing to it.

Colour looks very fetching - restrained and tasteful.

I bought a Lightning frame same colour as that on fleabay last year...crap description, local pick up only.
Decided when I got home I didnt need/want it, so put it back on the bay with a decent description and sold it to a guy in Germany at £50 profit on the frame and made about a £10 on the P&P too.

Was well chuffed !

Still got my blue Lightning which I bought new in February 1982... replaced the 5 speed freewheel last year from the original 11-25 for a 14-32 so I can get up hills on the front 52/40... spacing gaps sound big but it works for me, and just replaced original saddle for a Giant Flow 1 to ease my numb bits on longer rides!

My first bike when I got back into cycling in 1980 was a Dawes Lightning, I bought it from Rory O`Brien in Romford. Gave the bike away some years later when I got myself a Dawes Galaxy sadly another bike I gave away too.
