To declare an interest, i'm currently pursuing 'parties' who have admitted responsibility for causing me to be thrown over the bars and injured (and facially scarred) within a local authority public space. i'm quite interested to know if anyone else is aware of other similarly sized (£6000) settlements?

The judge should have reduced the pay out because he (Anderson) was wearing a helmet, this was probably a contributing factor to his smashing his cheekbone. Helmets are more likely to cause you to face plant and the wearing of one should therefore be considered to be contributory negligence.
