Do any of you have any money making strategies that you'd like to share?

Personally I do a little matched betting and use cashback websites but I'm always up for making a bit more

Well being at college and not having a job makes cycling difficult .... I have decided upon the perfect way to earn myself some cash -

1. Visit skip
2. Build up/refurbish/repair/make shiney bikes
3. Swear loudly as there is a missing vital party that will cost ££££ to replace
4. Try again...

Recently purchased a full sus mtb that was in pretty good nick (rear axel had snapped and disc brakes are...well...not braking?) for £20 from the skip (stiney skip men!) ..... hopefully, as it is shiney, I will be able to sell it for £50 ish. If I manage to sell this for a profit then I shall continue with this trend ..... not sure how the best way to advertise the bikes will be (don't think ebay will be the best way for low level hack bikes..)

Might have a look at doing up childrens bikes aswell...wonder if these will sell better?

I look at the pavement as I walk around. Mostly you get 1,2 or 5p, but everyso often you strike lucky with a quid...

Gambling to make money? sound like my mother in law! she is always winning in online casino's but never reads the small print and can never cash in untill she has gambled at least £200 or so and low and behold when she gets near that mark she stops winning and loses it all! She refuses to believe the odds change as you get closer to the mark.

When I was 17/18 I bought a car out the local paper (friday ad) for £150 looked at a few till I found a dirty one, cleaned it inside and polished the outside put an air freshener inside (99p) then put it back in the paper the following week and sold it for £250 rinse and repeat gradually buying better cars but never over £600 and it worked best at around the £500 mark with old XR2's, SR Nova's or other cars gullible boy racers would buy!

Failing that there are a few other options:

Rent boy
Begger
Busker
Drug dealer
Pimp

The world is your oyster!

I think they pay out when you get to £40, and at 5 or 10p a survey it's slow, and the surveys are often apparently designed by illiterate monkeys and are hopelessly shallow, but getting 10p to say which celebrity you'd most like to have dinner with can't be bad.

My friend spends 3 hours each Sunday trawling carboots, spends about £80 on shoes, handbags, perfume etc, then puts them all on Ebay. Usually turns her £80 into about £150 each week.

Oh and Wigsie, bet you were the richest kid in Uni:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

FYI "matched betting" is a means to extract bookies bonuses risk free (providing you understand and follow the system). It's quite complicated but there are numerous websites out there that explain how. I reckon I get about £200 pm out of it but could probably do about £400 if I put in the time. It's not a get rich quick scheme and it certainly isn't easy money but times are hard.

Doing up and selling bikes certainly appeals I may give that a go too.
