It's well known that the recipient of Adolf Hitler's missing testicle was German physicist Karl Heinz Globeschwiper.

What isn't so well known though is that in October 1945 he was spirited away to the USSR to work on the Sputnik programme.

He was then given the new identity of a Soviet scientist, Ivan Ooduknickabolokov.

When you meet the girl of your dreams you'll be unshaven, dressed like a tramp and drunk.

Bugger, wish I'd know that when we were down in Greenwich earlier this year.

In that case another Greenwich film fact.
The storming of the barricades scenes from film of Les Miserables and the stage coach chase from Pirates of the Caribbean (2nd or 3rd one) with Johnny Depp on the roof were shot back to back on the same set at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.

Which indecently is also where 'Jack Ryan' (Harrison Ford) gets shot in front of 'Downing Street' in Patriot Games and John Hurt looks over 'Moscow' in War & Peace.
Harry Potter meanwhile was shot inside the same building and a few weeks back they were shooting a Victorian street scene for a BBC drama.

Quite a lot of Shaun of the Dead was shot in our street. The convenience store is where we buy our milk. There were zombies running around with severed arms, covered in blood - we were a bit worried that the girls might be a bit freaked out (aged sort of 5-ish) but they loved it.
