We watched 'The Assassination of Jessie James by the Coward Robert Ford' a few nights back. I thought it one of the best films I've seen in a very long while, the misses thought it a bit slow (it is, but that doesn't make it unenjoyable in my book).
The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas - tells the story of wartime Germany from the German public's point of view.
Twelve Angry Men - No action, but good old fashioned story telling
The Bank Job with Jason Statham. Set in the early 70s, very authentic, very well written.
Based on a true story which you would struggle to make up - 10:10
