So possibly back to riding fixed.
Never had a proper fixed frame. Always had a gear frame with Normandy L/F Double Fixed bolt on rear hub. LF, front hub, 36/28 spokes, tied and soldered... Won a couple of club medium gear events in South Wales in the early 80's ......
Nearly 40 years later ... Is this the wrong time to be returning to fixed ??I
And what gear ...66 ?

No, yes

Although if hilly, a SS might be more comfortable. Descents on a fixed can be demanding.

I used to commute on fixed gear. Just made sense. Lower maintenance, slightly reduced top speed, and able to adjust speed easier, plus having a third brake.

I got rid of it this summer as I don't cycle commute after my nasty injury.

That looks ideal for summer use . I will be checking the photo gallery from April onwards.

Soon as the risk of frost has gone and it's dry roads
