Two big ones come to mind - Dolly Parton (!) wrote and performed the original of this breakup song which very oddly is the number one first dance song at weddings.
Then there is Kenny Rogers. This really is a heart-breaking song. Paralysed and dying war veteran helplessly looks on as his wife gets ready to go out on the town.
The jaunty beat of the song is rather at odds with the lyrics.
I don't know what it is about Siobhan Fahey in this video, but I find her very appealing. Allegedly she was off her head on vodka when this was filmed, which may explain some of her weirder facial expressions.

The story behind this is that Leo Moran had an older brother who was killed in a freak accident a few months before Leo was born and his mother never really got over it and he wrote this song about the brother he never got to meet and his emotionally distant mum and her belief that she'd be re-united with her oldest son in Heaven.
