no you won't and neither will Lee - he's just being naughty. There's a 40mph speed limit and a bend with a reverse camber. Save yourself for Lonesome Lane which is ideal for a recumbent trike. Jurek's Bend on Meath Green Lane will scare the living daylights out of you, but we really do want to watch you go round it.

Simon I'd like to come too if I may. I went on the Fnr to Southend in 2008.

lee1010 God like on a bike.

Oh yes, ;) like riding on silk.

I'm not fit enough to go silly fast.
I'll blow the legs well before the end if I try.
Unless its a nice down-hill run that is ..... ;)

Plus I've geared the trike down, not up.
98"-12", so I spin out at just over 30 mph.

    Luck .......... ;)

my memories of lonesome lame have prompted me to check train prices, and i can from sheffield and back from as little as £28 pounds return, whats the deal with getting from st pancras to HPC?? train due to arrive at 23.11 Friday and leave st pancras at 17.25 on Saturday, leaving plenty of time for an and back again ride ;) who said that? ;)

PS. the copy of how to be top arrived this morning, thanks very much Simon- very funny:laugh:

the arrival time doesn't leave a lot of slack, but if you book the ticket then let me know and I'll do my best to arrange for an escort down to the start.

I can send you a route if you would prefer.

Pleased you like How to be Topp - not least because it admits you in to the Crusty old Sodd club run by 3BM among others.

That's likely to be the East Midlands train I usually get on, from Luton.

My route isn't the shortest, but it's probably the quickest, as it minimises stopping time. You zoom along the bus lane in Euston Road/Marylebone Road, left down Symour Place, just before the Edgware Road, then a little zig zag into Great Cumberland Place to come out at Marble Arch, then full speed down Park Lane.

Without rushing, it's about 20 mins to get to HPC. My record is 13 minutes (no jumping lights), so there's an incentive for you!

fair point. If Andy's train is delayed we'll work out a rendezvous somewhere in South London. We are, in any case, very slow out to Mitcham.

Have faith! The train won't be late, and I won't lose him on the way to HPC.
  1. You adamant about that?

Sorry guys, looks like I can't make this one. Life's a complicated whirl of activity and, unfortunately, I just have no time.

Is rubbish. I desperately need my fix of fitties in lycra. sigh.
