Any rider listed for that ride could have emigratred to Australia, got married, had kids, divorced, and moved back to another part of the UK in the intervening period

...or the individual could have bought the shirt or helmet in a cycle jumble

Apart from that the man who has been widely named on the internet forums in relation to the helmet sticker lives about one mile from the start of the dronfield bypass.
If it is that gentleman, Derbyshire police have made themselves look very stupid ideed.

Especially as the mans picture looks very much like the e.fit.

Very sad though. I only live a couple of miles from where this happened. Its certainly not a stretch of road I would consider riding down.

Mystery cyclist identified 15:29:
A cyclist who died in a crash on the A61 in Dronfield last week has been identified as Malcolm Cottam.
Police said the 55-year-old, from Sheffield, suffered serious head injuries in the accident on Thursday.
He was formally identified by his family today after police put out a public appeal.
