Hi.

So..... after 20 years or so of bouncing down mountains with diminishing enthusiasm i have gone over to the 'dark side' and bought a road bike in the hope that;

1. It delays my death at the hands of my adrenaline junky mates
2. It reignites my love of cycling
3. I get some meaningful exercise before my wife realises that I've got a bit wobbly around the middle.

So here I am - not new to cycling but suddenly heading on a different (smoother) path which has left me wondering how the other half (the lycra wearing half) live so be prepared for some stupid questions while i find my feet.

I still ride a MTB although not anything technical these days.
I couldn't quite bring myself to go the whole hog and ride a road bike, so I bought a hybrid
