Hi everybody. I purchased my first bike about 2 weeks ago. I got a 2013 Giant Escape 3 and I love it!

I am enjoying cycling so much more than I thought I would. I have started commuting to work on my bike now, about 7 1/2 miles each way.

I also have a few "long" rides under my belt. I rode 80 miles last Tuesday with my Wife who also just started cycling.

I have much to learn and look forward to hanging out here.

In all seriousness welcome to you both there are people here that know every bit of their bike intimately who cannot help you enough, there are pure commuters that love to tell of their many "scalps" and then there are those like me that just do it purely for the cake and the many laughs along the way.

Keep posting, asking questions, giving opinions and we love pictures, loads of pictures but most of all don't just ride, enjoy it.

80 didn't seem too bad, just took a while.

We are planning on a 50 mile trip this Tuesday.

Hopefully the weather will be as nice as it has been today.
