After a couple of years in the special bicycle industry I have drifted back to the event business. I have been fixing and riding bikes all my life, from randoneurring in my youth to mountainbiking in Iceland or Bulgaria via some bicycle courierring.
Being 6'6" and around 100 Kg my choice of bike is somewhat limited and I have a deeprooted aversion to carbon fibre products (from personal experience and for environmental reasons) and too much weight weenie-ism.
Age and years of abuse (of the knees - too much motorbiking in winter and too much Iaido keep the orthophedic surgeon happy but not my knees....) have put a damper on my mountainbiking frolocking, but these days I am back on the 20"s.....
