New to forums here. Just a commuter rider of my Steel Custom Road Bike but on the hunt for something new shiney and carbon at the moment but struggling due to my budget and being a human Giraffe (6ft6in)

Got my eye on the Ribble Gran Fondo (originally was looking at the Cube Agree GTC but its the one model they dont do in XXL size??)

Not been on my road bike for about 8 months since I had a chain snap and left me with bent bars and it of tasty road rash sitting in the middle of a busy main road junction looking the fool for disappearing over my handlebars.

Currently I'm on business in Cape Town so not quite next county at the moment

Although managed to book a cycling tour down to Cape Hope for the weekend and through one of the nature reserves south of Cape Town. Someone said I'm likely to be chased by baboons which makes a difference from being run off the road by cars and lorries along the A421.
