Welcome to the forum and greetings from sunny Ayrshire.

There are lots of interesting cycling routes here. Have you tried Paisley to Kilwinning on the paths? You can get the train back! Also in East Ren, lots of nice views are Eaglesham and the biggest windfarm in Europe at Whitelee. The old A77 has a cycle path from Netwon Mearns to Kilmarnock which is a nice run too.
