Just started cycling again after a break of some ten years or so! My passion is mountain bikes although I tend to also ride on the road these days. There are many quiet lanes around my neck of the woods. Good to be here.

My vehicle of choice is a mountain bike too. To me it offers more freedom, I can just randomly decide to go down that steep dirt path and go over the handle bars whenever I want

I have never been able to feel comfortable with drop bars. In the past I have tried with no success. I am looking at putting road tyres on at the moment though. The knobblies are hard work on the road.

I have now got two new tyres more suitable for road use. Fitted them today but ran out of time for a "test run" before going to work. Will give them a go tomorrow.
