Just signed up

I am a daily commuter between Salford and Warrington (hence the nickname, as I am one of the many cycling by Risley Moss). I've been doing that daily since January after 40 years of total inactivity and I am loving it!

I have a Scott P55 Sportster which I treated myself to in May. I want learn to extend my maintenance skills beyond the occasional chain clean&lube

(there are some new brake pads on the side here that I am working up the courage to replace)... I may be posting on that subject later when I find the appropriate place.

Good stuff. I love commuting, I do plenty other riding but commuting is the best for some reason.

I probably won't see you though, so hello.

Maintenance is something you pick up job by job as they come up. At first you'll need at least one new tool every time. The buying of tools never ends, but the rate does slow somewhat after a while.
