Hello to the everybody.

After reading loads in the forum I thought I would bite the bullet and join in. Another new member from black pudding country with the best market in the land and big hills in every direction!!!

As my name might suggest I am struggling a bit with all of them there hills, it might have something to do with a little handicap of a 15kg converted mountain bike and a 108kg frame to lug around.

Actually, i am loving my new found addiction and can't stop peddling ^_^ even up the hills!

Anyhow, looking forward to some good banter and being able to pick up all of your top tips!

Welcome,

The great thing about cycling is you can shave lbs off your frame without spending money shaving pounds off your frame.

Thanks to you all for the warm welcome.

Tim, what you say is very true, I only returned to cycling a couple of weeks ago and I am now clocking 15-20 miles per day. I have seen 7 or 8 of those pounds that you mentioned disappear already, I can't believe that I burn about 1000 -1500 calories per ride.

Hi from Prestwich. The great thing about the hills is they end with a nice downhill to make it all worthwhile. Might see you about. Happy pedaling.
