Not that long ago I was by the local river when a granny out with her grandkids
Loudly exclaimed: "Oooh look, an otter, it's an otter!"
I caught sight of it too.
Told her: "It's not an otter, that's a mink."
She snapped back: "How can that be a mink? They're not even native!"
Me: "Yes, I'm quite aware of that, and I'm also aware there used to be a fur farm a couple of miles down the road."

I saw a stoat hunt a rabbit and kill it in front of my eyes a few weeks ago on the Isle of Wight. Quite a site to behold as they are tiny compared to the rabbit. It must have taken some strength for that tiny little thing to wrench the rabbit from its hole. The noise from the rabbit was quite something too!

You can just about see it right in the middle of this picture although it's not a great photo.
