Is it significant that his heart is 1/3 more capable of pumping than an 'average' persons heart, when taken in comparison over an average athlete's heart; and is this the reason which gives some people the belief that he, in some way, 'enhances' his body chemically...?

Is this the one discovery? had a few years ago on him. Probably be repeated at some point, in which case I'll watch it.

It's about the Ed Coyle "study", as I recall, isn't it?

I think that's covered on the Sports Scientists blog too.

But yeah, it's a good article.

Yes it was but it was the interviewer who made the bizarre observation not the interviewee. I think I'll read it again sometime to get it to stick in my mind.
