Hi Jon..
I had a similar problem as you have but I lost weight too.
I felt better after some whey protein in a milk shake and a bit more food on the way round my bike ride and as others have said.. just take it a bit more easier on your ride.

Hi, if you don't want to lose weight, you will need more calories but not from processed foods.
If you want to lose weight, eat enough that you have enough energy and stamina. Low GI foods before a ride will stop you arriving home hungry and eating all the wrong things.
HIGH 5 sports nutrition do a nice chocolate shake to have after rides.
Everything gets easier over time. Enjoy.
