Legends of the Tour

This DVD Came free with the tour magazine I bought before the tour. Split into 4 categories - Merckxx, Armstrong, French Legends and Italian Legends.

You wont learn anything new about Uncle Lance, but the other three sections were interesting I thought, particularly the really old stuff.

Not just Big Mig but Spanish legends would have been a reasonable category. Pass - me no make film, me just set peepers on it.

It is a very good DVD. There is some great archive film of Anquetil and Poulidor, Merkx, Hinault, Pantani, love him or hate him. Plus some really old film of Fausto Coppi and Gino Bartoli. Well worth watching.

Is this the one with intro sections by Sean Kelly, showing he really isn't very good at reading an autocue, and someone described him as looking like a zombie on Prozac ?

ha ha no. I think Gary Imlach voices what little narration there is before Liggett does the in-section stuff.
