Did you determine whether it's a square taper or not? If it is, miche use JIS taper while Campag are ISO.

Any clues here?

Looks like some threading is coming off.

Dang - just realised I'll need a bb tool.

I can't find anything in removal of miche team bbs. One reference is to BSA. How can I tell which Bb tool will fit it?

Haul the bike to halfords?

Okay, part IV A New Hope has become Revenge of the Crank...

I can't get the mo fo drive side out. It seems to swell in girth (@Fnaar ) as I pull it out.

Edit:
Do I need a "crank puller", and if so how do I tell it's the right type?

I'm getting a little frustrated that every step needs a new fricking tool.

Just give it a whack with a rubber mallet. Spray wd40 around it first.

Couldn't find my mallet. Lubed it and just yanked the hell out of it. That worked

Now I'm putting my lower back out trying to loosen the Drive side bb cup and DS pedal.
:banghead:

If I had a proper vice I'd clamp them in and smash the crap out of them.

Lubed, wiped, degreased, wiped, lubed - b'stard things.

On the positive side, I've fitted the power torque cup that wouldn't shift on my new frame and I got a big pack of high 5 gels for fifty pence after spotting they were incorrectly labelled. :training:

As long as I breathe, I attack.
In place of a rubber mallet a block of wood and a hammer will do as long as your gentle, did my HTII bb the other week like this and it was just as tight getting the crank back in as out .

Are you turning it the right way? its a reverse thread on the drive side, clock ways to unscrew.
