My new bike - Genesis Croix de Fer

That's a smart bike. Is there enough clearance for 'cross though?

The chances of me entering a cyclocross race to find out are pretty much nil. I have taken it off road several times and it copes admirably.

I have ordered mine from Epic yesterday and am getting it next week sometime. The only change from the standard spec is that I am getting Shimano Deore gear rear mech and cassette (basically a mountain bike gearing system).

I am very excited and from what I have seen and heard about the bike the general view is that it is a good one. Fingers crossed.

As far as i know the current round the world record holder Vin Cox used an almost standard croix de fer for his journey.
