My Table!

Have been making a table for about 3 weeks now, at York high school. I found out that there was a fire at the school this morning, destroying most of the building. No investigation has been done yet.

Losing 3 weeks work is nothing compared to all the kids GCSE course work that has gone up in flames. I'm hoping it wasn't done deliberately.

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on an old piece of laboratory table? The wood is Iroco.

If the science Labs were not too burnt, you may be in luck with that timber.

What a shame, the education system can't take that sort of loss of work into account very easily.
You could try architectural reclaimation and the reclaimed timber from the school building itself. I know that A load of iroko bench tops were delivered to Stockport College 18 months or so ago.
