N Wales Cyclist down.

On my way to college tonight, I was saddened to see a cyclist lying on the road at a roundabout. The police was standing by him and an ambulance was parked close to him. They were putting the poor man on a stretcher, ready to take him to hospital. The cyclist seem to be age about 30. A white car was stopped on the roundabout so I assume it was the one that knocked him down. I hope he is not seriously injured and soon be on his feet again. It just goes to show how dangerous cycling can be.
To every one, be careful out there and keep observing everywhere when you ride.

I hope the rider makes a rapid recovery, is it just me or do cyclist down incidents seem to be on the increase?
I guess as the popularity of cycling continues to increase the number of cycling related accidents / incidents will also unfortunately increase.

Let me rephrase, in this instance it would appear that it wasn't the act of cycling that was dangerous.

Also my last trip to a&e didn't involve a bike.
