Actually, he was trying to avoid slipping forwards on his saddle but it was still funny enough to post about it!
A mate of mine had his seat post snap on a steep, rocky MTB descent. He stuck his saddle in his back pocket and rode down the rest of the hill. At the bottom he removed the sharp pointy remains of what was left of the seat post. I would have removed the post BEFORE continuing the descent to avert the risk of DIY rectal surgery!I can visualise riders turning up at A & E asking to have it removed and on being asked how they managed that, saying, I, er, sat on it.
