I'm an old old member (with skin on); bought C+magazine for touring info, which in turn led to the C+ forum, and when that went into free fall, joined here in the mass exodus of two years ago.

Like other folk I was on the Old C+ forum and when that went I tried BR but never liked it (its OK for technical questions but its too big for me). So I googled Bike Porn and first on the list was this place. Truthfully somebody else from C+ said on BR that folk were here so I followed.

Brilliant forum though (Thanks Shaun!) -much friendlier than other places even when you do ask a tit of a question (Uncle Phil will know what I mean). Fantastic characters on here that make me laugh and many words of help!

Like Lee I was researching recumbents (although I'd already bought one by then) and landed here as people were friendly. I've met dozens of CycleChatters now and got into the group rides thing so it's all good

I got on here after doing the FNRttC in July. I run the company cycle network and someone blogged about it so I got in touch with them and the way to keep in touch and find out about the next ride is through Cycle Chat. Now I'm hooked.
