Newb from Ayrshire

I think I may be the only person on Cyclechat without a bike! Hoping to get one soon however financial and family circumstances have dictated not for the moment so I’m content to browse the boards at present and read every ‘what bike?’ thread for when my time comes.


I see myself using my bike for weekend rides on my own to clear my head and lose about a stone which I’ve put on since injuring my ankle last year. Would like to join a club at some point as I love the idea of riding with a group and hopefully making new friends.


I’m from Ayrshire in Scotland which has some lovely country roads which I can’t wait to exploit. Hopefully soon and nice to meet you all in the meantime!

I was like a kid in a sweet shop when I eventually saved up the money to get my Specialized 29er MTB.
Then just last month, I got a Dawes hybrid and am kitting it out so I can go on longer rides and to the shops
Who needs a car!
