A new patent applied for by Shimano offers electronic assisted braking.

I was just thinking that. What happens when your battery goes flat 30 miles from home?
It's fine with the far from fault free Di2 gears being stuck in one gear, but no brakes????
Yep, when you run out of battery on a tricky downhill you go, Arrrrgh, Bolllloxxxx, Shyyyyte!Does it have ABS?
I doubt once your AAA battery is flat the brakes stop working, just like a servo in a car, if that stops the brakes still sort of work
No idea maybe it will do like a HGV trailer air brake go on solid & prevent movement, if I knew all the answers I'd be selling them to Shimano for a huge profit! How will it send a signal from the lever to brake if the batteries are flat?
