My 2 year old Ortleib has a small hole & a partial cut (see pic). Looking to do a permanent repair. Planning on stitching/darning the hole with dyneema thread & a backing patch. It's what I use for proofing that is problem - don't won't it damage the fabric. Anyone done a long term repair on their Ortleibs?
Thanks 👍

I've just stitched mine together with normal cotton - not leaked as I use them commuting and they have been battered. I might run some superglue over a longer repair.

I've got some superglue but when I used it on a backpack repair (cordura I think) it reacted adversely.

I glued on a patch of similar material, from a kit originally meant for my caving oversuit (similar to this), to fix a hole worn through by a rack bolt. It's been on 20 or 25 years now (Front Rollers, classic)
Ortlieb used to sell a similar repair kit (E 163), but it seems to be no longer available.
There's a Vaude kit for their Aqua panniers, but they are PVC free so I doubt it would be suitable for Ortlieb Classic (but may be better for Plus panniers)

Thanks, they would probably work on panniers with similar fabric but the material on the Ortleibs is quite heavy and there are bonding issues
