It's a Peugeot Comete - 1987 ish.

Picked this up a few weeks ago off ebay, and when searching through the old CC threads there is some mention of a user having one of these possibly for sale.
Anyway, a little bit of TLC, some new tyres and tubes, and the usual tweaks and it's a great bike for cruising round, I can leave it outside the shops and no one looks at it twice.
...and when the LBS took 6 days to give my other 'good' bike a service, this old dear took the 24m a day commute in her stride.
The brake hoods are bloody hard on the hands though, and I had forgotten all about the down tube shifters - yikes!
