About two weeks ago. They've declined to refund, and she has written a letter of appeal. I'm advised that the banks rarely change their minds after first refusing.

Daughter is a junior physio in a central London hospital, pretty hard up financially, so this is a serious blow to her. She has a lawyer friend who is prepared to wade in if necessary. She'll take this all the way.

So do I. Our details were grabbed on line and someone spent about £600 in America on our card! We didn't know about it until they tried to buy something else and the card company phoned us to check up on it. They took the hit on the first transaction without us even having to ask.

I'm very surprised they let someone empty the account without questioning it.

After my daughter's account was cleaned out, and whilst she was waiting for reimbursment, she asked Barclays to put some money in her account so she could buy food and travel to work. This they did, £300, then the bastards charged her £100 overdraft fees.
I really, really hate fecking banks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
