Possible old pension, is there an easy way to check ?

Just cogitating (as you do) and I realise that I worked for a local but large** company for about 8 years in the 70s **(they had 8 factories producing wire products).
I have no idea if I or they had a pension scheme......I assume they must have done.
Bit late in the day but there may be some L/S somewhere.

Dave, did you not say a few months back about getting money you weren’t sure about? Could this be it?

It is definitely worth checking.

I only paid for 2 years into one pension scheme back in the 1980s. I forgot about it for over 30 years. Once I finally remembered, I wrote to the pension fund managers. Apparently, I had forgotten to notify them of my change of address so they had been sending annual pension scheme report letters to me at my old address for decades!

When I turned 60 I got a few thousand pounds lump sum, and I now get about £50/month. It's not a fortune, but it pays for bike spares and cafe visits on rides. :okay:
