I know that a few Floyd fans post on the site so I thought it appropriate to start a thread expressing sorrow at the death of keyboard player, Rick Wright.

I am glad that I got to see him play quite a few times over the years. May he rest in peace.

I didn't know that he was ill. It is a real shame that another one of music's good guy's has gone.

Me too, much saddened by the news. Long before Emo's and Goths, many used the music and lyrics of Pink Floyd to ease our teenage angst... I still do.
RIP to the quiet nervy shadow behind the keyboards that gave us some great emotionaly charged music, especially the magical, ethereal, extended opening chord of "Shine On You Crazy Diamond".
