I got into Feelgood a bit when his diagnosis was announced because it was the same time I was waiting to find out if my bowel tumour was malignant.

Well that sucks! Feelgood were the first band I went to see as a 'grown' up. Sarfend football club and Eddie and the hot rods played same night I believe.

It was I seem to remember. Both bands were local legends at the time.

I saw the Feelgoods a couple of times in the late 70s but only after Wilko had left.
I did see him on his 'farewell' tour in 2013 after his first cancer scare.

I saw Dr Feelgood back in the 70's. A great band.
It's a shame Wilko has gone, he was still out giging a few weeks back. He outlived his diagnosis by quite a few years.

I think the obligatory long stretchy curly lead added a certain tonal quality to the guitar too.
