Absolutley incredible development - Russians were getting hammered anyway; now they're split in two by this bitter in-fighting.

Surely this means inevitable defeat for Russia and possibly even collapse of the regime..?

It crossed my mind that this has been orchestrated as a face saving way out of the Ukraine conflict for Russia.

I'm not sure there is anyone paying a higher price than Ukraine.

Their own fault partly for letting the west play war games on their border.
If you start poking a bear with a stick then you cant start crying when you get bitten.
I couldnt care less if the Ukraine was completely annexed by Russia.

Seems an unfortunate attitude to take. Ideally a peaceful resolution would be my goal.
