Today on my ride, there was a scaffold truck sitting about 1-2metres from my back wheel. There was no room for him to pass so he had to sit behind me. I want straight on at the mini round about and he came up even closer. Going up a short slope/hill he got closer and his mate shoved his head out of the window and shouted something about being on the pavement. I carried on for abit then got off the road when he got closer. I got his number, well half of it, and i think i know the place where they work. Is it worth emailing or ringing the company, or should i just not bother? It really was annoying, because i pull into a junction just up the road to let the cars behind over take, so i dont have them sitting right up behind me.
I dont have a helmet cam, so i didnt get any footage, there were plenty of car drivers about though, would have been nice if one had come over when i was putting the registration plate into my phone to say that they saw what happened.
So what do you think, email or ring up and complain, or not bother?
All i think i will get is the boss saying that he will have a word with the driver, and then the driver saying that i was cycling dangerously, and there be no point.
i wasnt cycling dangerously, i was slightly further away from the curb, because there was a long cue of cars going the other way.
What would you have done if this happened to you?
